Spoon Bread!


This recipe was published by the company that made the Washington Spoon Bread mix once they quit making it for their loyal customers. It tastes more like the spoon bread that I grew up with than any I have found.

Ingredients
1 cup White corn meal Indian Head brand
2 tablespoons
Corn starch
4 teaspoons
Baking powder
1 teaspoon
Salt
2 large
Eggs
3 tablespoons
Corn oil
1 cup Water
2 cups
Skim milk


Instructions
Blend dry ingredients together in mixing bowl with wire whip.
Add eggs, oil and water to dry ingredients and mix with wire whip just until uniform. Add the milk and mix with wire whip again just until the batter is uniform. Pour into a greased 1? to 2 quart casserole dish. Bake at 450F for 35-45 minutes.
